Who are we?

ORC Geomatics is an innovative land survey company operating not only in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the greater Central Belt of Scotland but also Nationwide. Our aim is to deliver accurate, high quality surveying services to our clients in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner.

At ORC Geomatics, our strength comes from our talented team of surveyors and CAD technicians. Our continuously updated survey equipment together with the latest software allows the team to continue to operate at the top level within our field. Ensuring that we can continue to deliver the best possible survey deliverables to our clients in the shortest time.

What do we do?

We carry out a wide range of surveys. From topographic (topo) surveys to boundary disputes. Underground utility (service) tracing to internal and external measured building surveys. Laser scanning, scan to BIM, Revit Modelling, hydrographic surveying, building and structure monitoring. We carry out all the major tasks!

Our clients cover a broad spectrum and include not only individual property owners, but also architects, engineers, construction companies, developers, public sector organisations and utility companies.

The company is owned and managed by Gordon Crichton. Since graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Topographic Science from Glasgow University he has over 25 years of experience working in all aspects of land surveying.

Safety is the cornerstone of our business. Our surveyors are provided with appropriate and task specific PPE together with relevant training in order to undertake survey work in a safe manner.
